Fujian Dadonghai Industrial Group Co Ltd plant (福建大东海实业集团有限公司), also known as Fujian Dadonghai Industrial Co., Ltd., is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Fuzhou, Fujian, China.

Background

The predecessor of the steel project of Fujian Dadonghai Industrial Group Co., Ltd. was Fujian Xinhai Metallurgical Co., Ltd.The existing equipment includes 3 blast furnaces(BF)(2x450m³,1x550m³) and 3 basic oxygen furnaces (BOF)(1x45-tonne,2x50-tonne).There is a current construction project of building 1 BF (1x1200m3)and 2 BOF (2x100-tonne) to replace 2 blast furnaces(BF)(2x450m³) and 3 basic oxygen furnaces (BOF)(1x45-tonne,2x50-tonne) without capacity changed.[1]

Proposed project: building 3 BF (1x1200m3，2x1260m3), 1 BOF (1x130-tonne). The newly increased pig iron capacity will be 3.48 million tons/year, and the crude steel capacity will be 1.533 million tons/year.The project's environmental impact assessment report was approved in May 2021.[2][3] 2*1260 BF was put into production in 2022.[4]

According to the September 2022 production capacity replacement announcement, the company plans to build a 130-ton BOF with a production capacity of 1.433 million tons, which is expected to start in 2022.[5]
