Collimate Capital, formerly known as AMP Capital, is a global investment manager headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Its investment capabilities include real estate, infrastructure, equities, fixed income, and multi-asset.[1] In 2021 its net profit was AU$154 million (US$115.7 million), with AU$177.8 billion (US$133.5 billion) in assets under management.[2] According to the company's website, AMP was one of the world’s top ten infrastructure investors as of 2016.

The company was incorporated on August 22, 1979.[3]

In August 2020, AMP Capital ended its business and capital alliance with major Japanese group Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (MUTB), buying back MUTB’s 15 percent stake in AMP for AU$460 million (US$317.6 million).[4]

In April 2021, AMP Capital announced plans to split off from managing arm AMP Limited, with the announcement of the demerged company’s new name, Collimate Capital, made in February 2022.[5] The demerged firm was planned to be listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in H2 2022.[6] Also in February 2022, global alternative investment manager Ares Management Corporation completed acquisition of AMP Capital’s Infrastructure Debt platform, which held approximately US$8 billion in assets under management.[7]
