Background

The Agria plant, also referred to as the Volos plant, pursues reductions to their environmental footprint through a number of avenues. The plant utilizes biomass from residues of cotton and corn crops in the local area, and receives treated water from a neighbouring refreshment beverage industry, thus reducing water consumption from wells while reusing another industry's waste. Additionally, the plant has recieved environmental product declarations (EPDs) for all the products produced.
