Background

The combined-cycle plant of the Akademicheskaya CHPP includes a steam turbine KT-63-7.7 with a capacity of 63 MW manufactured by UTZ and a gas turbine unit GT13E2 manufactured by Alstom. Turbine KT-63-7.7 is made in one cylinder, it has two stages of steam extraction for heating, allowing to achieve maximum power. Increased turbine maneuverability indicators are provided.[6]

CHPP Akademicheskaya is an investment project of TGC-9 OJSC (part of IES-Holding) for the construction of a new combined cycle power plant in Yekaterinburg, in order to supply heat and power to the Akademichesky district under construction and adjacent areas of the city. The station is part of the Sverdlovsk branch of PJSC "T Plus".
