Background

The Al Khalij Cement Company plant is the largest cement producer in Qatar. Founded in 2006, the company now has a production capacity of more than 5 million tonnes of cement annually.[3] In 2026, the company signed an agreement to use sewage sludge as an alternative fuel in its kilns.[4]
