Background
Allen Powellton Mine (MSHA ID: 4609092) is an underground mine in Naoma, Raleigh, West Virginia.
Marfork Coal Company, a subsidiary of Alpha Metallurgical Resources Inc., has been operating the mine since its opening in 2005.[2] Marfork also operates the nearby Horse Creek Eagle Coal Mine, also located in Naoma. [3]
