Background
As of May 2024, the project — originally announced as a participant in Brazil's September 2022 national energy auction but not selected as a winning bidder — had seen no further news. By September 2024, with the developer's website not updated since 2022, the project was reclassified as shelved. Through 2025, no new developments were reported. In June 2026, the project was reclassified as cancelled after it was not contracted in Brazil's March 2026 LRCAP capacity reserve auction for natural gas, coal, and hydroelectric plants.[7]
