Background

The source of the pipeline is West-East Gas Pipeline 1. The pipeline connected West-East Gas Pipeline 1 and Zhongxian-Wuhan Pipeline. It only received the permit for construction in 2009, 3 years after its operation. In October 2020 ownership of the pipeline was transferred from CNPC to PipeChina.
