Zhongxian-Wuhan Pipeline 忠武联络线 (忠县-武汉) is an operating natural gas pipeline.[1]

Location

The pipeline runs from Zhong County in Chongqing to Wuhan, with branch pipelines from Jingzhou to Xiangfan, from Qianjiang to Xiangtan, and from Wuhan to Huangshi and Huaiyang and a connection with the West–East Gas Pipeline.

Background

The pipeline connects Sichuan and Chongqing gas fields with consumers in Hubei and Hunan provinces. Preparations began in 1998 and the project was fully launched in March 2001. The feasibility study was approved by the Chinese State Council on 13 November 2002. Construction of the pipeline started on 28 August 2003 and was completed on 1 July 2005.

忠武输气管道是“十五”期间国家重点建设项目,总投资近50亿元,工程包括忠县—武汉干线和荆州—襄樊、潜江—湘潭、武汉—黄石三条支线,全长1375km,干线管径711mm,设计压力6.3MPa,设计输量30×108m3/a。工程于2003年8月28日正式开工,2004年11月16日实现干线及黄石支线、襄樊支线进气投产,2004年12月25日实现商业供气;2005年5月26日湘潭支线投产。[4]
