Background
The Arabian Cement Plant in Rabigh was the first cement plant constructed on the Arabian peninsula, opening in 1959.[3] Over the years it constructed additional production lines, six in total, though only the two most modern remain operational with a capacity of more than 4 million tonnes of clinker and 9 million tonnes of cement grinding annually.[4][5]
