Background

In March 2021, the Russian Government published federal LNG program. That document listed Arctic LNG 3 as a possible project.[5] According a March 25, 2021 news article, the project is based on the resources of the North Obskoye Oil and Gas Field (Russia). The LNG terminal's projected production is 19.8 million ton per year.[1] According to an Arctic LNG industry specialist, FID is not expected until "the very late 2020s", construction is not expected to begin before 2030 and first LNG would not be produced before the early 2030s.[2]
