Background

In 2021, the Jecheon Plant implemented a KHD alternative fuel firing solution in its calciner. This upgrade allows the plant to utilize waste-derived fuels without the need for pre-processing, resulting in reduced emissions and enhanced sustainability.[3]

Future Plans: Asia Cement is planning a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project at its Jecheon Cement and Limestone Quarry, aiming to further reduce its carbon footprint.[4]
