Location

The pipeline runs from the Barzan (BRZ) offshore gas development to wellhead platforms (WHPs) in the North Field of the Persian Gulf to Ras Laffan Industrial City in Al Khor, Qatar.[2]

Background

In March 2022, QatarEnergy kicked-off operations from its Barzan gas plant in the Ras Laffan Industrial City, to handle production from its giant North Field development.The Barzan gas plant produces and process natural gas from the North Field to serve the requirements of local power generation. The $10.3bn Barzan Gas Project implemented by QatarGas, a joint venture (JV) of QatarGas and ExxonMobil.[3]
