Background

In 1991, the first unit came online.[9] It is planned to be retired in 2024.[10]

In 2001, the second unit came online. It is planned to be retired in 2024.[10]

In September 2020, the Bangladesh Power sector report contained that both units were facing gas shortages.[11]
