Background

The power station has a 35 MW coal-fired unit in Krishna, the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.[2] In April 2016, the project received Environmental Clearance for an additional 25 MW captive unit.[3]

In March 2017, the Balaji Cement plant and its captive coal-fired power station was acquired from Jaiprakash Associates by UltraTech Cement.[3]
