Background

Bangkok Steel Industry Company Limited was established on December 17, 1964, and started operations with manufacture of round and deformed concrete steel bars. The first electric arc furnace was installed in 1973.^[1] The company has been developing for over 50 years and now has two EAFs with a total capacity of 600 ttpa^[2].
