The pipeline brings gas from Pangkalan Batu in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra to Pangkalan Brandan in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra.

Background

The pipeline is owned and operated by PT Pertamina. It runs parallel to the 14-inch Batu-Brandan Gas Pipeline.

Accidents

In June 2011 a pipeline along Batu-Brandan route caught fire and damaged the homes of several residents of Brandan. However, it is not clear which of the two parallel pipelines caught fire.
