The power station is owned by Elektrocieplownia Bedzin Sa and is located in Slaskie Province, Poland.[1]

Coal retirement

In December 2022, Elektrocieplownia Będzin submitted an application to the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management for the construction of a high-efficiency unit operated on alternative fuels. Implementation would begin in 2024, and commencement would begin in 2027.[2]
