Background

The plant was originally proposed in 2011, but was stuck in litigation until 2019. However, the plant owners initiated an IAI review in 2019, which put the status of the plant back in pre-construction. As of Oct, 2022, no additional news is available, and the plant is accordingly considered shelved.[5]
