Benxi Beiying Iron and Steel Group Co Ltd Beitai Town (本溪北营钢铁(集团)有限公司, 本溪北营钢铁(集团)股份有限公司), also known as Benxi-Beiying Iron and Steel (Group) Holdings Co., Ltd., is a steel plant in Beitai, Pingshan, Benxi, Liaoning, China that operates basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and blast furnace (BF) technology.

Background

On July 15, 2023, the old Section 1 of the Plant, which had been in service for 28 years, completed capacity replacement and achieved permanent shutdown. The newly replaced Section 1 of the Plant conducted its hot trial production on June 15th 2023.[1] In July 2024, the company announced a new capacity swap plan to build a 120-tonne basic oxygen furnace to replace an old 120-tonne basic oxygen furnace.[2]
