Background

In October 2021, construction was already under way.[1] The turbines were delivered on site and installed and construction of associated infrastructure was under way. The project is expected to be completed in two phases: Phase I will include commissioning of units GT3 and GT4, and Phase II of the remaining units GT1, GT2, and GT 5. The project is expected to be commissioned by 2022.[1] Construction was ongoing in April 2022.[2]
