Background

Limestone for the kiln comes from the Boral Marulan South Limestone Mine. The plant produces 60% of cement products in New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory.

In December 2025, Boral was given funding from the New South Wales Government under the High Emitting Industries Grant program for an alternative fuel project. 65% of their emissions are a result of clinker production.
