Background

The 750 MW power station is owned by CESC Ltd and is located in West Bengal.[1]

In its 2010-2011 annual report CESC stated that the first two 250MW units were commissioned over a decade before (in 1997 and 1999) and the third was commissioned in February 2010. [2]
