Background

In 1939, the Cagnano Amiterno plant was taken over by the SACCI company. In 1945, due to the war, the plant ceased production and was transformed into a warehouse and mechanical workshop for the repair of military vehicles. In 1948, the plant resumes production and, in 1950, begins modernization efforts of the production cycle.

In 2016, the cement plant became the property of CementirSacci, the new company created by the Cementir Holding Group after the acquisition of SACCI SpA. In 2018 the Cagnano Amiterno cement plant becomes part of Italcementi - HeidelbergCement Group, and is rebranded as Italsacci.
