Background
The Cameroon LNG project was proposed by Engie in partnership with Cameroon's state-owned SNH in 2008. The plan included one train with up to 3.5 mtpa capacity, located at the port of Mboro, near Kribi in southern Cameroon. The basic engineering design of the project was completed in early 2016, but in July of 2016 Engie announced the project would be put on hold due to unfavorable market conditions.[2][1]
No updates have been released since 2016. The project is presumed to be cancelled.
