Background

In May 2017, Beijing Energy Group and the Government of Caofeidian District in Tangshan signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly develop an LNG terminal and a natural gas power generation in Caofeidian Industrial Park. [1][2] A joint venture, Tangshan Jingcao Natural Gas Co., Ltd. was established to develop the project in 2018.[3]

As of 2021, there had been no development reported in four years, and it is considered cancelled.
