Background

The project was proposed by Casecade Power Limited. The Bihar State Investment Promotion Board lists the project as having been granted investment approval in February 2011. According to a 2011 Bihar State Investment Promotion Board, the power station has been proposed to be built at an unspecified location in Lakhisarai District of Bihar.[1][2]

Other sources list the location as Nawada, which is both a city and a district.[2][3]

However, as of March 2015 the project has not received environmental permits, and appears to have been cancelled.
