Background

Arroyo Seco Dreyfus power station will be built using two SFT800 Siemens gas turbines based on an August 2017 contract.[7] The loan for construction, implementation, and operation of the plant was approved on April 4, 2018.[7] In May 2018, the plant was valued at $225 million.[8] In October 2019, Albanesi gave a New Date for the Commercial Authorization Committed (NFHCC) as July 11, 2022.[9] In January 2021, Grupo Albanesi announced a $600 million USD investment in Arroyo Seco.[10]

In November 2022, the project was not listed on Grupo Albanesi's "News and New Projects" webpage.[11] Progress on plant construction has been stalled since 2018, with lack of financing cited as a contributing factor.[12]
