Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company Yazd steel plant (مجتمع فولاد چادرملو, شرکت معدنی و صنعتی چادرملو), also known as Chadormalu Steel Plant Ardakan, is a steel plant in Ardakan, Yazd, Iran that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) and direct reduced iron (DRI) technology.
The Chadormalu iron and steel plant draws on the iron resources of the Chadormalu mines to produce Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and then steel.[1] It operates a DRI unit with a nominal capacity of 1.55 million tons per year, though production has sometimes exceeded that capacity.[2] Steel is produced via an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) with a capacity of 1.2 million tons per year.[3]
