Background
The Changchun Dahun Cogeneration power plant was approved in December 2020. The total investment of the project is 995.83 million RMB (154 million USD).[2] The plant will provide heating and electricity to the Jiutai District as part of Jilin Province's 13th five-year plan.[3]
Unit 1 had no news in 2023 and satellite maps could not locate the plant[4]. No news emerged in 2025[5]. The project was cancelled in July 2026[6].
