Changgou Coal Mine (阳泉煤业集团长沟煤矿有限责任公司) is an underground coal mine located in Beiliyang Village, Liyang Town, Heshun County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

Changgou Coal Mine, formerly known as Heshun County Changgou Coal Mine, was built in 1962 and put into production in the same year with a 0.15 million tons/year design production capacity. After many reconstructions and expansions, the approved production capacity was 0.9 million tons/year on March 15, 2011.[2] As of the end of January 2021, the approved production capacity was 1.0 million tons/year. [3]

On November 8, 2021, a roofing accident occurred in Changgou Coal Mine, and one person was killed.[4]
