Coal Mine Background
The Chaochuan Coal Mine is the second largest main coking coal base in Henan Province. Construction began in 1970 and was put into operation in 1978-1980. There are three pairs of production mines with a designed production capacity of 1.2 million tons per year.  The Chaochuan Coal Mine No.1 Well was built in 1970 and was simply put into operation in 1980. In 2014, the Chaochuan Coal Mine No.2 Well was shut down for protection, and Chaochuan Coal Mine No.3 Well was closed due to exhaustion of coal resources in 2011. The approved production capacity in 2020 is 1.8 million tons per year.
