Background

The Chlef Cement Plant is part of GICA (Groupe Industrel des Ciments d'Algerie).[3] It has the capacity to produce over 4 million tonnes of cement annually, and exports significant amounts.[4][5] Around early 2023, it opened a third production line and clinker kiln.[6]
