Background

Chifeng Zhongtang Special Steel Co., Ltd. planned to build two 1580m3 blast furnaces and two 120-tonne basic oxygen furnaces in 2020.^[1] The construction of the project started in June 2020.^[2] As of November 6, 2021, the two blast furnaces have been fired in succession.^[3] The #1 blast furnace was put into production in April 2022.^[4] The #2 blast furnace was put into production in September 2022.^[5]
