Data Sources and Methodology

Capacity values are derived from the following source:

NEA

This data source covers capacities in the 0–6 MW range. Data values are reported as of 2025 Q4.

Global Solar Power Tracker

This data source covers capacities in the 1–6 MW range (partially). Data values are reported as of 2025 Q4.

Guizhou's figure is estimated from the NEA-reported distributed PV total. NEA defines distributed PV as PV developed on the user side, connected to the distribution network, and balanced within the distribution system rather than a strict <1 MW size cutoff.

For this release, no 1–6 MW solar capacity was recorded for Guizhou in GEM Global Solar Power Tracker. Guizhou's estimate therefore uses the NEA-reported distributed PV total, resulting in an estimated 2,980 MW of 0–1 MW capacity.

AC/DC Correction

The data sources are reported as AC.
