Background
In December 2021, China Energy Construction Anhui Institute (CECAI) successfully secured the bid for the pre-construction consulting service general contract for Phase I of the Chongqing Huadian Changshou 2x700 MW Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Cogeneration Project.[4]
This project is located in the Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone in Chongqing and is planned to include the construction of four 700 MW gas-steam combined-cycle cogeneration units, with the initial phase involving the construction of 2 units.
In August 2022, the Chongqing Development and Reform Commission and Chongqing Energy Bureau issued a notice regarding the implementation plan for energy planning tasks in the "14th Five-Year Plan," which aims to advance the project.[5]
