Background

The cement plant's kitchen waste biological degradation and harmless disposal center is the first in the country to use a cement kiln to co-process kitchen waste. With an annual processing capacity of over 20,000 tons of kitchen waste, the system uses the generated grease as fuel for the cement kiln. This process can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 4,966 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 16 tons, and nitrogen oxide emissions by 14 tons each year.
