Background
The Beni Mellal Cement Plant began operations in December 2011, and currently has a production capacity of 1.6 million tonnes per year of cement.[3] 74% of the electricity for the site comes from wind power, and the clinker kiln uses alternative refuse-derived fuels.[4]
