Background

In February 2021, the turbogenerator TG05 caught on fire due to lack of maintenance and overuse.[6] In December 2021, the facility experienced an explosion which damaged the electronic system leaving the complex offline.[7] In March 2022 when the complex was about to restart operations they experienced another electronic issue.[8] As of December 2022, it was unclear whether the plant had been returned to service.
