From Global Energy Monitor

Background

In May 2025, the city of Danang in central Vietnam said that it was seeking investors to develop an LPG and LNG terminal project worth over VND5.43 trillion ($208.7 million). The city aims to develop infrastructure that would store LPG and LNG and supply it to the surrounding region and country. The infrastructure would include berths, storage tanks, warehouses, and auxiliary facilities. It was unclear as of this stage whether the project would involve the regasification of imported LNG.[1]
