Background

Dandong power station is a 700 megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station on the outskirts of the city of Dandong, China. It was commissioned in 1998.[1]

Ownership

According to a 2009 report by the the Environmental Defense Fund: "The Dandong Power Plant had originally been developed and constructed by HIPDC, which transferred all its rights and interests therein to [China Huaneng] effective 31st December, 1994."[2]
