Background
Datang Harbin power station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 600 MW. The plant was completed in 2010, and is owned by Datang.[6][7]
The project was approved in September 2024[8], and a board resolution to invest was passed in September 2024[9]. Subsequent tenders for design, surveying, construction, and major equipment were issued through 2024 and 2025[10][11][12]. Main construction began with concrete pouring in April 2026[13].
