China Datang has proposed a 2 x 350 MW residential CHP plant for Huailai County, Zhangjiakou. The project is seeking permitting.
In January 2017 the provincial EPA rejected the project's EIA.
As of May 2020 there have been no further developments on the project, which appears to be cancelled.
