Background
The Tiangfeng (Taixing) Thermal Power Co., Ltd. is advancing its Dingfeng Taixing Development Zone South District cogeneration project in Taixing, Jiangsu province, with several key updates. The environmental impact assessment was first publicly disclosed on June 1, 2024 [1], and the second public notice was disclosed on February 28, 2025[2]. Its energy-saving proposal was passed on September 25, by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission[3].
The project received a permit on September 26, 2024 to construct three high-temperature, ultra-high-pressure circulating fluidised bed boilers and two steam turbine generator sets[4].
