Background

The Dongfeng Cogen power station was proposed to be constructed to supply heat and electricity to the Jilin district. It was announced in January 2020 by the Jilin Provincial Energy Administration, and was one of twelve thermal power projects listed.[1]

In August 2022, a related project appeared listed in Jilin Province's 14th Five-Year-Plan for the energy sector. The total capacity was listed as 90 MW, and appeared to be for 3 x 30 MW.[2] This seemed confirmed in November 2022.[3][4]
