Background

Duva was discovered in 2016 and its plan for development and operation (PDO) was approved in 2019.[11] In July of 2020, Neptune Energy, the project operator announced that "despite challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic" the development of Duva was ahead of schedule.[12]

According to Neptune Energy, the Duva development project is being carried out in tandem with Gjøa field P1.[13] 35 km off the shore of Norway.[12] Duva will be developed with a 4-slot subsea template with three oil production wells and one gas production well tied-back to the Gjøa platform. It will be operated from Gjøa via a umbilical.[13] 35 km off the shore of Norway.[12]

In 2020, Neptune anticipated first production from Duva in the third quarter of 2021.[12] As of February 2021, Neptune now claims that the project's expected start-up date is in the fourth quarter of 2021, but it is "pursuing an initiative which may improve the start-up date substantially."[13] 35 km off the shore of Norway.[12]
