Background
The Dwi Guna Laksana (DGL) coal mine is an opencast mine, operated by PT Dwi Guna Laksana, a subsidiary of the Energi Batubara Indonesia, with a capacity of 6 million tonnes-per-annum (MTPA) in Jilatan, Batu Ampar, Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, Indonesia.[6] As of 2020, PT Dwi Guna Laksana, a subsidiary of the Energi Batubara Indonesia, operates the coal mine.
As of 2013, DGL was one of several producing coal concessions held by PT Exploitasi Energi Indonesia Tbk (stock code CNKO), alongside PT Abe Jaya Perkasa in Central Kalimantan and Usaha Kawan Bersama in South Kalimantan. At that time, DGL's coal reserves were reported at 31 million tonnes.[7]
DWGL reported coal sales of 4.12 million tonnes in 2024, level with 2023 sales, and set an internal sales target of 3.7 million tonnes for 2025.[8]
