Background
EPP Santana was announced as a participant in Brazil's national energy auction in September 2022[4] but was not selected as a winning bidder; with no further news through 2024, its status was moved to shelved. By June 2026, the project had not been contracted in Brazil's March 2026 LRCAP energy auction,[7] and its status was revised to cancelled. A separate power plant in Amapá state named Santana C was contracted in the 2026 auction, but this was understood to be an unrelated project owned by Karpowership rather than EPP.
