Background

The company started with 8 MW when it opened in February of 2022 at the industrial park, eventually reaching 16 MW in the spring by adding the second location on Old West Point Road.[1][2] EZ Blockchain entered into a three-year agreement with the West Point municipality to lease 0.7 acres of land to establish its second facility, which is comprised of mobile containers. EZ Blockchain has partnered with Wattum, a mining equipment/service provider for both its West Point locations. [3]

The company sources its power from the municipal utility service, a participant of the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG Power).[4] The majority (63%) of the power sourced by the municipal utility service is "carbon-free" and primarily from nuclear sources. [5]
