Background
Unit 1 (25 MW) and Unit 2 (25 MW) were commissioned in 2008. Unit 3 (60 MW) was commissioned in 2014.[2][3]
In July 2025, a former Minister of State-Owned Enterprises was reportedly named as a suspect in a forgery and embezzlement case allegedly associated with Embalut power station.[4]
